Farewell

It is finally dawn.
Condemned to dream the days and walk the nights,
I remember Plato while I inhabit his cavern;
Cavern that became my prison
And where I enjoy drawing my shadow.
I forgot that day when I thought I had all the answers,
To meet again at the foot of the same hill,
But now, full of doubts. Doubts that weigh.
This time, the way back won’t be easy.
I can not deprive me of my fears and my uncertainties.
I hear Frost´s birches whispering an almost epic hymn
While some birds join them.
I say goodbye to memories, landscapes
And the taste of the last sip of wine that I drank all at once.
Immortality does not seduce me.
I prefer to continue dreaming the human.
